14 DAY ISRAEL/JORDAN MESSIANIC ENCOUNTER

Assemble at Singapore Changi airport at 11pm for flight to Doha to connect to Amman (For those fly from Perth, transit at SIN must arrive 11pm or before)

Arrive at Amman.  Meet and Greet by local representative and transfer by Coach.  Drive to Mt Nebo where God brought Moses up to gaze at the Promised Land and bury him there.

Packed lunch, depart for Wadi Rum camp .

After breakfast, check out and spend whole morning visiting Petra, one of the wonders of the ancient world.  After lunch, travel to the Dead Sea Resort on the Jordan side and stay overnight in the resort. If time permits, we get to float in the Dead Sea and enjoy the Dead Sea mud, naturally.

After early breakfast, check out and cross over to Israel.

After the border crossing, visit Jewish community living in a Moshav (a hybrid Kibbutz) which is a c-operative social enterprise but giving jobs to their Palestinian neighbors. Visit Qumran Caves (Dead Sea Scrolls discovery) before proceeding to float in the Dead Sea and then rest for the night.

Visit: CAPERNAUM (“Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew to Galilee. He left Nazareth and made his home in Capernaum by the sea….Matt 4:12-13) Capernaum played a pivotal role in the life of Jesus. From here He would travel and preach His Gospel of the Kingdom to cities and villages throughout Galilee. In Capernaum we will see Peter’s House and the ancient ruins of the first century synagogue where Jesus preached (Matt 4:13-17) and to the MT. OF BEATITUDES, from this beautiful spot, Jesus gave His most famous address, the SERMON ON THE MOUNT. We will visit TABGHA, the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the 5 loaves and 2 fishes (Matt 14:19-21).

PETER’S PRIMACY – church where tradition believed that the resurrected Jesus appeared to the disciples at the Sea of Galilee.

BANIAS/TEL DAN/GOLAN HEIGHTS/GALILEE BOAT  GINNOSAR /YARDENIT (B,L,D)

BANIAS (Caesarea Philippi), the site of Peter’s confession (Matt. 16:16) and then explore TEL DAN, the source of water of the river Jordan.

We will visit GOLAN HEIGHTS.

After lunch we will cross the SEA OF GALILEE by boat (Holy Communion on boat can be arranged)

Visit the Ancient Boat Museum in Ginnosar.

We will then complete the visit of the day at YARDENIT, the baptismal site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. (Baptism by the Pastor can be done at YARDENIT)

After breakfast, proceed to MT CARMEL (MUKHRAKA)/visit site of Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal. 

Join the Shabbat Worship at HarCarmel (Peter Tsukahira’s Church)

NAZARETH/MEGGIDO//CAESAREA/JERUSALEM (B,L,D)

After breakfast, check out and visit the town of Nazareth where the birth of Jesus was announced to Mary (Church of the Annunciation). We may also visit one of the synagogues (not the actual one) where Jesus made a declaration recorded in Luke 4:18-19.

where Jesus turned water into wine. We can have a renewal of vows in one of the churches there. CAESAREA, the famous Roman port and fortress build by King Herod and filled with biblical history especially with the Apostles Peter and Paul. Then MEGGIDO (ARMAGEDDON) if we have time.

Drive and proceed to JERUSALEM, the Holy City.

JERUSALEM: MT OF OLIVES/ GATHSEMANE/DOMINUS FLEVIT/ISRAEL MUSEUM/HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS (B,L,D)

We are in Jerusalem, the Eternal City of God where we are going to explore wonderful sites after breakfast.

At MT OF OLIVES we take some time to have photos using the background panoramic view of the whole city of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. We will do the walk down the valley as Jesus did and on the way to visit DOMINUS FLEVIT. 

We continue to walk along Hosanna Road to GATHSEMANE to visit the CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS, which stands on the Rock of Agony, where Jesus was betrayed by Judas (Matt. 26:36-57). 

We are going to spend time at the ISRAEL MUSEUM.

We can arrange for an afternoon of interaction with Holocaust Survivors and have tea with them – subject to availability

JERUSALEM: OLD CITY/JEWISH QUARTER/ CITY OF DAVID/ HEZEKIAH TUNNEL/WESTERN WALL AND UNDERGROUND TUNNEL/VIA DOLOROSA/HOLY SEPULCHRE (B,L,D)

This exciting day will begin with a Walking Tour of the Old City of Jerusalem, through the VIA DOLOROSA, the way of sorrows and the WESTERN WALL (Wailing Wall). 

We will have a rare visit to the underground tunnel beneath the Western Wall.

At the CITY OF DAVID explore HEZEKIAH TUNNEL. We can tread through the wet tunnel. This is the tunnel which King Hezekiah built to draw spring water from outside the city into the City – you have to prepare outfit if you intend to walk the wet tunnel.

BETHLEHEM/SHEPHERD’S FIELDS/CHURCH OF NATIVITY/ YAD VASHEM/YAHUDA MARKET (B,L)

After breakfast we take a trip to BETHLEHEM to visit the Church of Nativity, then the Shepherd’s Field before heading to the Holocaust Museum, the YAD VASHEM.

We visit the YEHUDA MARKET for last minute shopping.

Check out of Hotel and visit the GARDEN TOMB and have a quiet time of reflection. Lord Supper would be served

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Masada, the winter palace of King Herod in the Judean Desert.

Visit to En Gedi.

We then head for the Allenby Bridge Crossing into Jordan. Proceed to Amman for some shopping and sightseeing (to be determined). Check into the Amman Airport by 1700 for flight to Doha and onwards to Singapore.
